As we pay more attention to what we eat, we strive for foods that are good for us, good for the planet and humane. The Vegan Cheese Shoppe was created to provide simple, satisfying, and sustainable vegan cheese alternatives. We are based in Honolulu, Hawaii and pride ourselves on featuring locally grown macadamia nuts paired with other premium tree nuts to bring you rich and satisfying cheese alternatives. We hope you will try our "cheese" on your next charcuterie board, in your favorite recipes and as the perfect gift.
Who We Are

Founder & CEO
Growing up in the agricultural mecca of California's central valley, there was no way around a love of food in its most natural state. After receiving her bachelor's degree in Business Marketing from San Diego State University Erin moved east to New York City. It was there that she realized her true passion for diet, nutrition and food culture. She then received a master's degree in Food Studies from New York University. During her studies she realized the importance of a plant-based diet for the health of our bodies and for our planet. When Erin moved to Hawaii, she started creating cheese alternatives using a variety of tree nuts. The healthy fats of tree nuts make them an ideal substitute for dairy. Focusing on using locally grown Macadamia nuts to create a delicious vegan cheese has been a dream come true. We invite you to try our Macadamia Nut "Brie" and look forward to more varieties in the near future.
